Some talented folks contribute to building Iraba daily. We're excited to introduce one of those lovely people today and think you will enjoy getting to know her.
This interview was conducted by Doreen Mukeshimana. Let's get to it!
How could describe yourself to a strange who doesn’t know you?
My name is Fabiola Abayisenga and Fabby is my nickname. I am 22 years old and I live in Kigali-Rwanda. I am highly motivated in business management and am committed to continuing to grow in this career. I’m creative, talented, I have business-critical thinking, and am innovative with consolidated expertise in Business and entrepreneurship.
How would you describe your job to a bunch of five-year-olds?
It’s a great question. I am Abayisenga Fabiola, I work as marketing and operation assistant at Iraba. We make natural hair products which are safe for kids, are made in natural material, and contain no harsh chemicals. My role is to build relationships with customers, employ online marketing, and also work with content for our social media channels.
How do you see yourself in five years?
In 5 years I plan on expanding my knowledge about different marketing channels, social ads, and am committed to continuing growth in this business career. I want to have my own company that cultivates flowers because usually in Rwanda we import them and I want to expertise our flowers and satisfy the Rwandan market.
What’s the best advice you could give to someone who wants to start a natural hair routine?
I would advise them to be patient because natural hair needs time and care. Also, use right product that do not contain harsh chemicals and are not harsh to the skin. Use great tools such as a spray bottle, sleep with a satin scarf and be gentle with a detangling brush.
You will have great looking hair if you invest in it!
How do you feel about collaborating with me(Doreen) in a team setting?
First of all, I love working with you because we get along and we work together to achieve the same goals. You’re a hard-working lady with great ideas and creativity. You're always polite and remain calm, even under stressful circumstances. I could say that am lucky to work with you.
What skills do you think everyone should learn?
Continuous self-improvement: becoming better than you were yesterday and being valuable to the world. It is more about building new positive habits.
Technical skills: They are practical, and often relate to mechanical, information technology, mathematical, or scientific tasks. Today, we use technology more than anything, which means we should have the ability to perform any skills.
Anything else?
Always think of yourself as a unique person with a positive mindset and believe in yourself this will help you move from one level to another.
